Brittany Barnes, LCSW, earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from South University and her Master’s in Social Work from Barry University. Brittany has worked in addiction and mental health in South Florida for the past seven years. As the Clinical Manager for Summit, Brittany understands impact of how we perceive trauma has a profound effect on our self-worth, relationships, and view of our life’s purpose. She has first-hand seen the impact of how this can lead to maladaptive coping mechanisms, negative self-talk, and destruction in relationships with self and others. She has experience working with individuals struggling with substance abuse, anxiety, depression, codependency, career-related issues, trauma, and grief & loss.
